Imperial Horseshoes:
Imperial Original
Model Imperial began in the late 1960's. The "Original" model was basically an advancement of the Ted Allen with some nice enhancements. It took away the finger notch, leaving a smoothly curved inner edge. It added the first true ringer break on a horseshoe. Also, its main feature was its heavily weighted tips and sharp points along with a slightly wider and thinner blade. The "Plus" was invented quite some time later, in the early 1980's. It is very similar to the Original, but has a finger notch and not so heavy tips. A new addition to the Imperial line is the "Classic". This shoe came out in late 2000 and is an exact copy of the ever popular Ohio "O". If you've been searching for the old Ohio shoe, this is it! The MAXX (Cast) is the one of the newer Imperials. It is a variation of the Original, with similar tips and hooks. Being a cast shoe, it is a bit wider and thicker than the drop-forged Original. This is the exact Imperial cast shoe that was introduced in the early 1980's for just a brief time. If you've been waiting for it, it's back! 2003 was a big year for changes in the Imperial line. We took one of our most popular Thoroughbred shoes, the Tyson Swinger, and added it to the Imperial line as a new model called the "Imperial Stinger". Just a lettering change on this one-- all other things about the shoe are identical. Also, we designed two completely new Imperial shoes in 2003, the Viper and the Steinfeldt. You'll get the idea with the Viper once you see it. No more needs to be said than that. Be sure to check it out! The Steinfeldt shoe is a take-off of the very popular shoe designed and pitched by the six time world champion, Carl Steinfeldt, years ago. We've modified it slightly to include the famous Imperial Original hooks, making it a truly great shoe. This design is a slightly faster turning shoe when you pitch the one and a quarter turn. You can't get much better than this one! Click on the shoe names below for more details and order info on each model:
