The Bronco Pro Flip is one of the most popular flip style horseshoe on the pro tournament circuit. This shoe won world championships in its first year of production. Players of every skill level can improve their game with this horseshoe. It is perfectly balanced for the flip turn and has the grabbing cleats reversed from the thumb cleat to allow the hooks and front cleats to grab the ground and stay on the stake. This gives the flip pitcher the same advantage that the turn pitchers have enjoyed for years, the ringers stay on! The Bronco is match weighted to within one tenth of an ounce

The Bronco Pro Flip won the World Championship in the Women's division in it's second year of existence. Sue Snyder of Kentucky pitched the Bronco to the 1999 Championship and the highest ringer percentage of all entrants from all divisions, men, women, juniors, seniors etc..

The Bronco, with the two "claw shaped" cleats in front and its circular cut-out hooks, holds the stake.

When you proceed to the next page to enter this item into your shopping cart, you will be prompted to choose quantity, color and weight options. The color option is pretty basic, but the weight option requires a bit of explanation...

In the weight selection box, you will be asked to choose from three selections: official weight, medium and heavy. The official weight of a horseshoe is 2 lbs. 8 oz. and the NHPA allows for a variance of two ounces, making the maximum weight 2 lbs. 10 oz.

If you select "Official Weight" you will get horseshoes within that range and that generally satisfies most everyone.

Occasionally, some advanced pitchers want to specify shoes on the lighter side or heavier side of that range and that's why we have the other two selections. If "Medium" is requested you'll get shoes at the bottom of the weight range and if "Heavy" is selected you'll get shoes near the maximum weight. Obviously, it's only a two ounce range, so the difference is nearly imperceptible to most people. But for those who have a preference, those options are there. It seems those who've been at it a while seem to prefer the slightly heavier shoe.
