Here's a shot from last year's action on Saturday afternoon. We're expecting great weather this year and many more players than ever before. So, the competition will be as good as it gets. Please come and make it even better! This year's tournament is already shaping up to be one of the best ever! Our 24 new clay courts will be in perfect condition and we have current and former world champions in every division entering to compete for the prestigious titles. The prize fund is fully guaranteed, as always. We've again combined the 30 foot classes to create more even competition for all adult 30 foot players and to allow them all to compete for a substantial championship prize. Again, we started specific planning in February, '07. To raise all the added money needed for the large prize fund, we are running a program ad book again and we are having a ticket raffle for a grand prize of $500.00. If you're having trouble finding a hotel, check this out:
Hotel rooms are nearly impossible to find in the summer in Erie, PA... the Tally Ho-tel which is right at exit 27 on I-90-- is the closest hotel you can get to the courts--just a mile or so up the road! The rooms are nice and prices are reasonable. We have a lot of players and these rooms are sure to sell out fast! If you call in early for reservations, you can probably secure a nice room. You can call them for reservations at 1-888-833-8886 (make sure you select the Erie, PA location from the list of choices). You can also e-mail your request for reservations at sales@tallyho-tel.com. They do have an outdoor pool and many other features. Plus you can't beat the proximity to the tournament-- Please take advantage of this! $500.00 Grand Prize in this year's Tournament Raffle... Details: As always, we're holding a raffle ticket sale to help raise prize money for all classes and to benefit our charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ticket sales are already underway and going well. the top prize is a guaranteed $500.00 and there will be many other cash awards, dependent on how many tickets are sold. this is our main source of funds for the tournament prize fund, so every ticket you purchase or sell directly benefits the players in this tournament. We will be mailing a few tickets to all our past players along with their entry forms. If you are not on the list or if you want additional tickets to purchase or sell, just click here to e-mail us your name, address and how many tickets you need and we'll send them out immediately. Ticket cost is one for $5 or three for $10. The Drawing date is 6/24/07 so ticket stubs must be turned in by that morning.
