Jerry Eicher motioned to accept the Treasurer's report as read-- Motion carried. The President reported on an idea/request to hold a horseshoe pitching event of some kind at Discover Presque Isle this summer. The idea was table to next spring due to conflict with the Eastern national Tournament. The Treasurer reported that ENT raffle ticket sales raised $2,310 thus far but are still short of break even point by $1,400. Also, ENT program ad sales were only numbered at 46, which generated $600 less than last year. Our total donations to Shriner’s Hospital came to $2,130 since beginning of ticket sales. Attendance: Officers: Bob White Sr, Tim Eicher, Joe Marschak, Bob White Jr., Chuck Burkett, Sam Stafford. Members: Rich Kuchcinski, Frank Bohun, Gordon Gaither, Jerry Eicher, Ed Kuchcinski, Dick Rhineberger (Official quorum requirements were met) Old business: Membership Rebates Fulfilled: A total of $860 was paid back to qualified members. The Treasurer noted a complaint from the Friday night indoor pitchers (1/2 season members). They felt they are entitled to a rebate just as full season members are. No one from that group was present to argue on their behalf, but members present felt that the exception allowing for 1/2 season memberships was enough of a rebate already. The complaint/motion was not seconded and was dropped. New Business: Motion by Tim Eicher: This motion was detailed in the May, ‘02 Newsletter. It essentially creates a format by which the club can now accept or deny new members, by vote of membership at a meeting. The motion carried, however, specific By-Laws and Constitutional Amendments must be written to enact this motion. They will be presented for ratification at the next meeting. Motion by Robert D. White: No club hosted tournaments with out of town participants farther than a 30 mile radius can begin play prior to 9AM. Motion carried. Eastern National concessions were awarded to Patty Crews. Eastern National score keeping was awarded to Central H.S. Baseball team. Final clean-up and court maintenance night to be Thursday, June 13th.
